At South Shore we have a very active music program and the support of an active music committee and encouraging staff. We provide opportunities for disciples of all ages with a love of music to share their talents, to enjoy fellowship, to lead worship and to Praise God.

Chancel Choir is a SATB choir who sing anthems of a variety of styles that bring a refreshing spirit and sound to our worship. Disciples high school age and up share their talents in the 8 & 9:30 services on the first and fourth Sunday of the month. This choir gathers to enjoy fellowship, lead worship and praise God from September to May on Thursday evenings at 7pm. They also sing on Christmas Eve, Good Friday and Easter.
Men’s Choir is a SATB men’s choir who sing once a month in the 8 & 9:30 services. Men high school age and up are invited to share their talents praising God. Rehearsals are at 10:45am various Sunday’s throughout the month. They also sing Maundy Thursday and Easter.
Praise Teams lead the Sunday 11am Alleluia worship service. Teams consist of vocals, guitars, drums, piano and auxillary percussion. Various teams sing one or two times per month. Rehearsals are the Tuesday evening or Saturday morning prior to singing. This service is informal with contemporary music. We are always looking for disciples who are interested in singing or playing an instrument.
Vesper Bells is a four octave bell and chimes group that rehearses Thursday evenings at 5:45pm in the church. They play on the third Sunday of the month as well as some services during Lent and Advent. This group also play at nursing homes during the Christmas season and other various community activities. If you enjoy music, Vespers Bells would love to have you play with them! It is a wonderful opportunity to praise God at South Shore!
Instrumentalists are encouraged to participate occasionally for special services such as Christmas and Easter. If you play an instrument (piano, guitar, band or orchestra instruments) please contact the church office at 651-429-4293.
